I'm going to start a new periodic feature that I call The Heater Scan. These are the hottest-trading stocks that I see. I look for increased volume, relative strength, how close they are to intraday highs and price movement. Right now on my heater scan is Esperion Therapeutics (ESPR) , Ocean Power Technologies (OPTT) , ZAIS Group Holdings (ZAIS) , Yirendai (YRD) , Cloud Peak Energy (CLD) , Lumentum Holdings (LITE) , MGT Capital Investments (MGT) and GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (GOL) .

These names are likely to catch the attention of traders that are scanning through charts overnight and often remain quite active in future days.
